November 3 (SeeNews) - Bucharest stock indices ended in the red on Friday as daily turnover skyrocketed due to the initial public offering (IPO) of a 25% stake in fast-food chains operator Sphera Franchise Group data from the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, showed.
The total equity turnover of the BVB rose to 328.7 million lei ($83.3 million/71.5 million euro) from 25.46 million lei on Thursday, as the IPO generated some 285 million lei turnover.

The offering took place between October 24-November 2 on the BVB.
Sphera Franchise Group was set up in June and operates the outlets of KFC, Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut Delivery and Taco Bell in Romania. It also runs fast food chain KFC's operations in Moldova and in the northeastern part of Italy.
In regular trading, BRD Societe Generale [BSE: BRD] rose 1.15% to 12.3 lei in in the day’s largest turnover of 10.91 million lei.
Lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] fell 1.39% to 8.63 lei in Friday’s second largest turnover of 8.63 million lei.
Natural gas producer Romgaz [BSE: SNG] rose 0.16% to 31.6 lei in the day’s third largest turnover of 4.03 million lei.
On Wednesday, BVB appointed Marius-Alin Barbu as interim chief executive officer.
The announcement came after CEO Ludwik Sobolewski resigned on Friday.
The selection process for the appointment of a new CEO and general manager of the Bucharest Stock Exchange is continuing, the bourse said in a statement. The final appointment will need to be confirmed by the country's Financial Supervisory Authority, ASF.
