January 14 (SeeNews) - The Bucharest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BET index ended 0.71% higher at 10,024 points on Monday, marking its highest closing value since 2007, the bourse operator said.
The BET index gained over 35% in 2019, the stock exchange operator said in a statement on Monday.
As at 11:00 CET on Tuesday, the index traded 0.08% higher at 10,032.02 points.
The index tracks the performance of 16 companies listed in Bucharest - Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV], Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP], OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP], Romgaz [BSE:SNG], BRD-Groupe Societe Generale [BSE:BRD], Transgaz [BSE:TGN], Electrica [BSE:EL], Digi Communications [BSE:DIGI], Nuclearelectrica [BSE:SNN], Transelectrica [BSE:TEL], ALRO [BSE:ALR], MedLife [BSE:M], CONPET [BSE:COTE], Purcari Wineries [BSE:WINE], Sphera Franchise Group [BSE:SFG] and Bucharest Stock Exchange [BSE:BVB].
