October 23 (SeeNews) - Bucharest Stock Exchange-listed Purcari Wineries [BSE:WINE] said that it has repurchased 16,124 own shares in the period October 14-18 for a total of 345,878 lei ($80,800/72,700 euro).
The average price per share of the repurchases made during the week ended October 18 was 21.45 lei, the blue-chip company said in a bourse filing on Monday.
Since the launch of its share repurchase programme, Purcari Wineries has bought back 132,573 shares for some 3 million lei.
The company intends to buy back an additional 67,427 own shares under its current programme.
Purcari Wineries is a public company incorporated under the laws of Cyprus, which owns wineries in Romania and Moldova. The company was admitted to trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in February 2018 and is now part of the blue-chip BET index.
Purcari Wineries owns over 1,000 hectares of vines and four wineries in Romania and Moldova - Bostavan, Purcari, Ceptura and Bardar. Its main markets are Romania, Moldova, and Poland.
