BUCHAREST (Romania), November 19 (SeeNews) – The president of the board of directors of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), Septimiu Stoica, has resigned as the bourse plans to merge his position with that of the CEO, BVB said on Monday.
Stoica will continue to perform his duties until BVB’s shareholders meeting on December 18 and 19. At the meeting, the bourse shareholders will discuss the proposed merging of the positions of the president and the CEO and will vote on the appointment of BVB's CEO Stere Farmache as a president of the board of directors, BVB said in a statement.
Stoica has been president of the board of directors of the BVB since February 2006.
