July 25 (SeeNews) - International broadcaster Central European Media Enterprises (CME), which has operations in several Southeast European countries, said on Tuesday it swung to a consolidated net profit of $16.9 million (14.5 million euro) in the first half of 2017.
This compared to a net loss of $141.3 million in the like period a year earlier.
The company’s net revenues increased to $316.8 million in the January-June period, from $304.2 million in the first half of 2016, CME said in its consolidated financial statement.
Operating income rose to $63.1 million in the review period, from $51.6 million in the first half of 2016.
The company operates in Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

In Southeast Europe, CME's portfolio comprises TV channels bTV, bTV Cinema, bTV Comedy, bTV Action, bTV Lady and Ring.bg in Bulgaria; Nova TV, Doma, Nova World and MiniTV in Croatia; PRO TV, PRO TV International, Acasa, Acasa Gold, PRO Cinema, Sport.ro, MTV Romania in Romania, and POP TV, Kanal A, Brio, Oto and Kino in Slovenia. In Moldova, PRO TV Chisinau and Acasa leverage the programming schedules of Romania's Pro TV and Acasa.
