July 16 (SeeNews) - Romanian brick and tile maker Ceramica Iasi said Brikston Cooperatief U.A. has acquired indirect control over 84.8825% of the company by buying its majority shareholder.
Brikston Cooperatief U.A. bought 100% of Amsterdam-based EuroBrick International B.V., which owns the majority stake in Ceramica Iasi, from Cooperatief EuroBrick Holding U.A., on July 14, Ceramica Iasi said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

According to Romanian media, Brikston Cooperatief is owned by Hong Kong-based investment fund manager Asia Dept Management Capital, as the owner of Cooperatief EuroBrick Holding U.A. is U.S.-based investment fund Advent. The transaction was worth over 10 million euro ($13.6 million), according to daily Ziarul Financiar.
Ceramica Iasi is listed on the over-the-counter market RASDAQ.
