August 2 (SeeNews) - Zeljeznice Republike Srpske [BANJ:ZERS-R-A], the railway operator of Bosnia's Serb Republic, said its net loss widened to 6.3 million marka ($3.7 million/3.2 million euro) in the first half of 2018, from 6.1 million marka a year earlier.
The company's operating income dropped 6.1% on the year to 29.9 million marka in the first six months, while operating costs fell to 35.1 million marka from 36.7 million marka, Zeljeznice Republike Srpske said in a filing to the Banja Luka bourse.
According to a separate statement published by the company on its website, the railway operator transported 61,900 passengers in January to June, up 9% on the year.
Zeljeznice Republike Srpske also carried 2,043,481 tonnes of goods in the first half, 6% less than in the corresponding period of last year.
