BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 24 (SeeNews) - Bosnian company Vjetroelektrana Grebak will launch the construction of the 49.5 megawatt MW Grebak wind farm in Nevesinje, some 270 kilometres south-east of Banja Luka, at the end of 2020, the country's Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) said.

The total investment is seen at around 130 million marka ($73.1 million/66.5 million euro), as the project is still in the process of collecting all necessary permits from the respective authorities, FIPA said in a statement on Monday.

The plant is expected to be built by the end of 2021, and to be then commissioned by mid-2022, the statement said.

Grebak will comprise 15 wind turbines, producing 130 gigawatt hours of electricity per year.

In April, Bosnia's Serb Republic signed a 50-year concession contract with Vjetroelektrana Grebak to build and operate the wind farm.

The concessionaire shall pay a concession fee of 0.0055 marka per kilowatt hour to the Serb Republic government, with 95% of the payments to be then transferred to the budget of the Nevesinje municipality.

The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
