March 18 (SeeNews) - Bosnian manufacturer of personal and household care products Violeta has reduced its exports in order to meet domestic needs, and in particular the increased demand for toilet paper, local media reported on Wednesday.

The company had requests from foreign buyers asking to purchase its whole production and offering higher prices, TV broadcaster Al Jazeera Balkans quoted Violeta's CEO, Petar Corluka, as saying.

However, Violeta did not even consider their offers and will continue working with local trades, keeping the prices unchanged, Corluka said.

At present, the company works in three shifts, producing 1,200 pallets of toilet paper per day, the report said.

Violeta has production units in Bosnia and Croatia, and is ready to meet the demand of both markets at the expense of exports. It will also continue to cover the market in neighbouring Montenegro where it is the main supplier of toilet paper.
