SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 19 (SeeNews) - Bosnian civil engineering company Unioninvest has launched a project for reconstruction of the water supply network in Sarajevo city backed by a 5.5 million euro ($6.1 million) credit from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the government of Sarajevo Canton said on Thursday.

In the initial phase of the project reconstruction works will be carried out on three water pumping stations in the city, the Sarajevo cantonal government said in a statement.

"We expect all three pumping stations to be reconstructed by autumn 2020," Sarajevo Canton's infrastructure minister Srdjan Mandic said in the statement.

The Sarajevo Canton is one of ten cantons in Bosnia's Federation, one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
