June 5 (SeeNews) - The economy ministry of Bosnia's Herzegovina-Neretva Canton said it has decided to award a concession contract to Mostar-based company Umikon for the construction of solar power plants with a combined capacity of about 5 MW.
Umikon will build five solar power plants with a capacity of 999 kW each in the Rastani village near Mostar, the cantonal ministry of economy said in a notice.
The company has been awarded a 30-year concession for the production, transmission and distribution of electricity generated at the planned photovoltaic (PV) power plants.
The Herzegovina-Neretva Canton is one of 10 cantons in one of Bosnia's entities the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
