BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 11 (SeeNews) – Bosnian coal miner and energy producer RiTE Ugljevik [BANJ:RTEU-R-A] is set to sign a deal with a consortium led by Japanese company Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, a joint venture comprising Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi, on the instalment of desulfurization equipment at its thermal power plant, local media reported on Monday.
The consortium consisting of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe and Slovenian co Rudis was selected following the completion of a tender procedure, news agency Srna reported.
No further information was disclosed.
The coal mine and the adjacent power plant are located in the northeastern part of the Serb Republic, which together with the Muslim-Croat Federation makes up Bosnia and Herzegovina.
