SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 15 (SeeNews) – Passenger numbers at Bosnia's Tuzla International Airport increased to 514,309 in the first ten months of 2018 from 457,843 in the same period last year, according to data issued by the airport operator.
In the month of October alone, passenger traffic fell 2.8% on the year and was 10.6% lower on the month, reaching 50,105, figures posted on the website of Tuzla Airport show.
Over the last seven years, from start-2011 to end-2017, Tuzla Airport welcomed 1,327,652 passengers in total. In 2017, passenger traffic soared 72.0% on the year to a revised 535,596.
In March last year, Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air deployed a second aircraft at its base in Tuzla to operate five new routes. The company currently offers 16 services to seven countries from Tuzla Airport.
