SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), October 13 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Tuzla International Airport has launched a tender for a gate upgrade, expected to cost 504,000 marka ($297,800/257,700 euro), VAT excluded, local media reported.

The upgrade should be completed in six months, as the contract will be awarded to the lowest bidder, news portal Ekapija reported on Tuesday.

Interested parties can apply starting November 5.

The Tuzla airport also intends to build a parking lot for about 300 vehicles and is in negotiations with unnamed air carriers to introduce new lines as part of a plan to double its passenger numbers in 2022, according to the report.

In 2020, passenger numbers at Tuzla airport totalled 228,603, down from 593,050 in 2019.
