May 26 (SeeNews) - Bosnia’s Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] said it plans to skip the distribution of a final dividend for 2022 after paying out an interim dividend of 0.0807625 marka ($0.044/0.041 euro) per share in December.
Telekom Srpske has distributed 39.7 million marka of its 2022 net profit as interim dividend for that year and plans to keep the remaining 42.6 million marka in retained profit, it said in a bourse filing earlier this week.
Telekom Srpske's consolidated net profit rose 10.8% year-on-year in 2022, reaching 82.3 million marka.
In December 2021, Telekom Srpske distributed an interim dividend of 0.0594 marka per share, or an overall 29.2 million marka. In addition, 45.1 million marka was paid out to the shareholders as a final dividend of 0.09179559 marka per share in June 2022.
Telekom Srpske's shares closed 8.20% higher at 1.32 marka on the BLSE on Friday.
Telekom Srpske, majority-owned by Serbian state-controlled Telekom Srbija, has customers mainly in the Serb Republic, one of Bosnia's two constituent entities. The other entity is the Federation.
Bosnia, a country of 3.3 million, has two other telecommunications companies, both based in the Federation - BH Telecom and HT Mostar.
