December 7 (SeeNews) - Bosnia’s Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] said on Wednesday it plans to pay an interim dividend of 0.0807625 marka ($0.043/0.041 euro) per share, higher than last year's interim dividend payout of 0.0594 marka.
Under the plan, the telco will distribute a total of 39.7 million marka as interim dividend, Telekom Srpske said in a statement filed with the Banja Luka bourse.
The proposal will be put to the vote of its shareholders on December 23.
In December 2021, Telekom Srpske distributed an interim dividend of 0.0594 marka per share, or an overall 29.2 million marka. In addition, 45.1 million marka was paid out to the shareholders as a final dividend of 0.09179559 marka per share in June 2022.
Telekom Srpske reported earlier its consolidated net profit rose 29.4% year-on-year in 2021, reaching 73.2 million marka.
The company's shares closed 0.64% lower at 1.56 marka on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) on Wednesday.
Telekom Srpske is majority-owned by Serbian state-controlled Telekom Srbija and has its clients mainly in the Serb Republic entity, which forms Bosnia together with the Federation entity.
Bosnia, a country of some 3.5 million, has two other telecommunication companies, both state-controlled - BH Telecom and HT Mostar.
