BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 6 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] said its consolidated net profit rose slightly to 8 million marka ($4.6 million/4.1 million euro) in the first quarter of 2019, from 7.4 million marka a year earlier.
Total operating revenues grew 4.2% year-on-year to 107.0 million marka in the three months through March, while total operating costs increased 1.7% to 96.1 million marka, Telekom Srpske said in a filing with the Banja Luka Stock Exchange on Friday.
Telekom Srpske is the second-largest telecommunications company in Bosnia. It is majority-owned by Serbian state-controlled Telekom Srbija and has its clients mainly in the Serb Republic entity, which forms Bosnia together with the Federation.
Bosnia, a country of some 3.5 million, has two other telecommunication companies, both state-controlled - HT Mostar and BH Telecom.
