August 1 (SeeNews) - Bosnia’s Sparkasse Bank [SASE:ABSB], a unit of Austrian group Steiermaerkische Sparkasse, said on Monday its net profit rose 5.7% year-on-year in the first half of 2022, reaching 10.4 million marka ($5.4 million/5.3 million euro).
The bank's net interest income increased 2.1% on the year to 24.7 million marka in the January-June period, Sparkasse Bank said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE).
Net income from fees and commissions rose 25.5% year-on-year to 15.4 million marka in the period under review.
The net assets of the Sarajevo-based lender slightly rose to 2.4 billion marka at the end of June, from 2.36 billion marka at end-2021.
The lender's shares have not traded on the SASE in the past year.
