SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 2 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Sparkasse Bank [SASE:ABSB], a unit of Austrian group Steiermaerkische Sparkasse, said its net profit almost halved to 12 million marka ($7.4 million/6.1 million euro) in 2020, from 23.5 million marka a year earlier.
The bank's net interest income edged down to 44.3 million marka last year from 44.7 million marka in 2019, while the net income from fees and commissions fell 7.7% to 22.6 million marka, Sparkasse Bank said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange on Friday.
The net assets of the Sarajevo-based lender rose to 2.1 billion marka at the end of December, from 1.9 billion marka at end-2019.
