SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 7 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Sparkasse Bank, a unit of Austrian group Steiermaerkische Sparkasse, said on Wednesday its net profit rose to 15 million marka ($8.6 million/7.7 million euro) in the first half of 2019, from 12.4 million marka a year earlier.
The bank's net interest income edged down to 22.2 million marka in the first six months from 22.8 million marka in the like period last year, while the net income from fees and commissions rose 5% to 11.5 million marka, Sparkasse Bank said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE).
The Sarajevo-based lender's net assets totalled 1.8 billion marka at the end of June.
