January 13 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Serb Republic government has decided to award concession for the construction of two mini hydro power plants in eastern Visegrad, worth 3.12 million marka ($1.8 million/1.6 million euro) in total, local media reported.
The poject comprises two HPPs of 0.3 MW each - Crni Rzav and Bijeli Rzav, with an estimated annual production of 1.5 GWh and 1.9 GWh, respectively, news daily Glas Srpske reported on Friday.
Crni Rzav will cost an estimated 1.66 million marka to build, while Bijeli Rzav will cost some 1.46 million marka.
The Serb Republic government has authorised the entity's energy ministry to prepare a public tender to grant the concession.
Local company VG Ekoenergija has expressed interest in the future concession, Glas Srpske said.
Visegrad is a town in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
