May 5 (SeeNews) - The tax administration of Bosnia's Serb Republic said it collected 1.035 billion marka ($560.9 million/529.2 million euro) in taxes in the first four months of 2022, up 14% compared to the same period a year earlier.
In April alone, the tax administration of the Serb Republic collected 281.1 million marka in taxes, some 54 million marka more than in April 2021, the entity's tax office said in a statement on Wednesday.
In the January-April period, revenue from direct taxes rose 41% on the year to 274.2 million marka.
Revenue from contributions increased 7% to 608.2 million marka in the first four months of 2022. Other public revenue came in at 152.7 million marka in January-April 2022, 1% higher than the first four months of 2021.
The Serb Republic is one of two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
