July 5 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Serb Republic and the government of Serbia's autonomous province of Vojvodina will invest in the construction of a factory for jumbo bags in the town of Milici which will be owned by the municipality, Radovan Viskovic, prime minister of the Serb Republic, said.
The government of the Serb Republic will back the investment with 800,000 marka ($422,000/409,000 euro), whereas the government of Vojvodina will contribute 500,000 marka toward the cost of the project, Viskovic told a news conference streamed on the Youtube channel of local broadcaster RTRS on Monday.
The factory, which is expected to employ about 100 people, will spread over 2,000 sq m and will produce jumbo bags for the needs of local aluminium producer Alumina and other clients in Bosnia, Viskovic added.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
