BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 30 (SeeNews) – Bosnia's Sberbank a.d. Banja Luka [BANJ:ZPKB-R-A], a unit of Austria-based Sberbank Europe, said on Wednesday its net profit edged up to 1.81 million marka ($1.2 million/925,450 euro) in the first half of 2014 from 1.79 million marka a year earlier.
Net interest income rose 19% on the year to 10.8 million marka in the first half, while net fee and commission income increased to 5.3 million marka from 3.9 million, Sberbank a.d. Banja Luka said in its income statement sent to the Banja Luka Stock Exchange.
The bank's net assets totalled 894.9 million marka at the end of June.
Sberbank a.d. Banja Luka is based in the Serb Republic, one of the two entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Muslim-Croat Federation, where Sberbank Europe, has another unit, Sberbank BH.
