November 8 (SeeNews) - Zeljeznice Republike Srpske [BANJ:ZERS-R-A], the railway operator of Bosnia's Serb Republic, said it reduced net loss slightly to 7.5 million marka ($4.4 million/3.8 million euro) in the first nine months of 2018, from 7.8 million marka in the like period of 2017.
The company's operating income decreased 3.9% on the year to 47.3 million marka in the nine months through September, while operating costs dropped to 52.8 million marka from 55.1 million marka, Zeljeznice Republike Srpske said in a filing with the Banja Luka Stock Exchange.
In 2017, Zeljeznice RS transported 4.5 million tonnes of goods, up 3% on the year.
At the end of 2017, the company employed 2,740 people, down 11% on the year before.
