October 21 (SeeNews) - The net electricity production of Bosnia's Serb Republic increased to 8,354 GWh in 2018 from 6,708 GWh in 2017, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
Of the total amount, 5,306 GWh or 63.5% were produced in thermal power plants, 2,974 GWh or 35.6% in hydro power plants, while production from other sources accounted for 74 GWh or 0.9%, the Serb Republic's statistical office said in a statement.
The entity's electricity imports dropped to 315 GWh in 2018 from 587 GWh the year before, while exports increased to 4,458 GWh from 3,104 GWh.
Net electricity output in the Serb Republic amounted to 7,565 GWh in 2016.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
