January 13 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Serb Republic motorway operator Autoputevi RS is inviting expressions of interest in a 6.0 million euro ($6.7 million) project for consultancy services on the construction of a bypass road, part of European Corridor Vc, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.
Consultancy works are required for the construction of the 5.6-kilometre Rudanka bridge-Putnikovo Brdo 2 tunnel section of the Doboj bypass, which lies on the Serb Republic territory, the EBRD said in a statement on Friday.
The Putniko Brdo 2 tunnel will be built on the inter-entity border between the Republic and the Federation - the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia.
The consultant will assist in works supervision for the design and construction of all local roads and major structures related with the section, including the 1.6-kilometre Putnikovo Brdo 1 tunnel, the 700-metre Putnikovo Brdo 2 tunnel, the Rudanka bridge over river Bosnia and the Putnikovo Brdo viaduct, the statement said.
Interested parties can submit their bids by February 13, after which Autoputevi RS will make a shortlist of qualified consultants, and invite them to participate in the next tender stage, the EBRD said.
The assignment is expected to start in July 2020 and last 36 months.
The EBRD is financing the construction of the Rudanka bridge-Putnikovo Brdo 2 tunnel section with a 150 million euro loan approved to Autoputevi RS and endorsed by the Serb Republic parliament last year.
Corridor Vc has a total length of 700 km and connects the port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary. Its length in Bosnia is some 340 km with the best part of it lying in the Federation.
