BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 31 (SeeNews) – The motorway operator of Bosnia's Serb Republic, JP Autoputevi RS, has invited sealed tenders for the design and construction of a new motorway section with a length of 5.65 km, part of Corridor Vc, the EBRD said.
The company intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from the EBRD towards the cost of preparing detailed designs and the construction of the motorway on Corridor Vc through the entity, section Interchange Johovac (Tovira) - Interchange Rudanka (Kostajnica), the EBRD said in a statement on Wednesday.
The road will be a 2+2 lane motorway, which the expected duration of the contract is two years.
The deadline for the submission of bids is July 30.
The Serb Republic is one of two entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the other is the Federation.
Corridor Vc is the main international transport corridor in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its development is a strategic priority for the country. The road is part of the Western Balkans Core Network. It has been established as an extension of the Trans-European Transport Networks and will eventually link the Hungarian capital Budapest with the Croatian port of Ploce.
