September 24 (SeeNews) - The insurance companies operating in Bosnia’s Serb Republic posted combined gross written premiums (GWP) of 125.9 million marka ($75.5 million/64.4 million euro) in the first half of 2021, up from 115.6 million marka in the same period of 2020, the entity’s insurance agency said.
Non-life insurance premiums increased by 6.7% year-on-year to 100.7 million marka in the six months through June, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 18.9% to 25.2 million marka, according to figures released by the Serb Republic's insurance agency.
Grawe Osiguranje was the biggest insurer in the first half of 2021, holding a market share of 13.4%, followed by Drina Osiguranje with 7.9% and UNIQA Osiguranje with 7.2%.
The Serb Republic insurance agency's report includes data on 26 insurance companies.
