BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 24 (SeeNews) – Bosnia's Serb Republic's average annual consumer price inflation edged down to 0.8% in April from 0.9% a month earlier, the entity's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices in the Serb Republic dropped 1.1% in April, after rising by 0.1% in March, the statistical office said in a statement earlier this week.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 0.5% month-on-month in April, prices of healthcare services rose by 0.4% and prices of transport added 0.1%.
Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, communications, education and restaurant and hotel services remained unchanged.
At the same time, the price of housing fell 9.8%, prices of furnishings and household equipment dropped 0.4%, clothing and footwear prices shed 0.2%, and prices of other goods and services edged down 0.1%.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
