September 24 (SeeNews) - The producer price index (PPI) on the domestic market in the industrial sector of Bosnia's Serb Republic rose 6.9% on the year in August after increasing 7.5% in July, official figures showed on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, industrial producer prices in the Serb Republic gained 0.2% in August, following a 0.4% decline in July, according to a monthly report posted on the website of the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic.
By purpose of consumption, the producer price index in the manufacturing industry rose 10.7% year-on-year in August, compared to a 11.6% increase in July; in the mining industry it added 4.0%, up from 3.6% in July; while the price of utilities remained unchanged for the fifth month in a row.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
In 2017, the Serb Republic's PPI on the domestic market rose by 2.0%, compared to an average growth of 1.5% in the prior year.
