SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 27 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Serb Republic rose by 34.5% year-on-year in April, reaching 117, the entity's statistical office said.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings increased by 34.8% in annual terms in April, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects rose by 33.3%, the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic said in a monthly report on Monday.
Out of the total number of permits issued in April, 87 covered new construction projects, nine were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings.
Based on the number of permits issued, dwellings planned in April more than quadrupled year-on-year to 728.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
