BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 22 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Serb Republic in July increased by 4.8% year-on-year to 87, the entity's statistical office said on Thursday.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings grew 11.9% on an annual basis in July, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects decreased 25%, the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic said in a monthly report.
Out of the total number of permits issued in July, 70 covered new construction projects, six were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
