BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 23 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Serb Republic in June increased by 14.8% year-on-year to 147, the entity's statistical office said.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings grew 15% in June, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects increased 13.3%, the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic said in a monthly report on Monday.
Out of the total number of permits issued in June, 128 covered new construction projects, 7 were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
