BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 22 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Serb Republic in April decreased by 7.4% year-on-year to 87, the entity's statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buldings dropped by 17% in April, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects soared 64%, the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic said in a monthly report.
Out of the total number of permits issued in April, 72 were for new construction projects, six were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
