June 6 (SeeNews) - Bosnian conglomerate SAS Doboj launched the construction of a 10 million marka ($5.8 million/5.1 million euro) hydro power plant with a capacity of 1 MW in Istocna Ilidza, local media reported on Thursday.
The plant's capacity can be doubled at a later stage, business portal eKapija.ba reported.
The construction works are performed by local civil engineering company Radis, as the investor has secured all construction and building permits.
The construction should be completed in two years.
Istocna Ilidza is located in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
