December 10 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Sarajevo Canton said it plans to invest 20 million marka ($11.3 million/10.2 million euro) in the construction of a gondola lift in the Bjelasnica mountain.
The project is part of the Sarajevo Canton's 2020-2022 programme for public investment of some 51 million marka in tourism facilities in the Bjelasnica and Igman mountains published on the website of the cantonal government.
Other more significant projects include construction and reconstruction of ski slopes, hotel revamp, artificial snow project, the construction of a water supply system on Bjelasnica.
Sports facilities built on the Bjelasnica and Igman mountains hosted the winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo in 1984.
