December 16 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Sarajevo Canton is inviting expressions of interest for supervision of works on the extension of tram tracks connecting the Bosnian capital's western suburbs of Ilidza and Hrasnica, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.

The 20 million euro ($22.6 million) project envisages the construction of tram tracks of 13 km in length and 20 tram stations, the Sarajevo Canton said in a statement on Wednesday. The canton is financing the project with loans from the EBRD.
The tender for the construction works will be launched in January, the canton added.
The Sarajevo Canton is one of 10 cantons making up the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
