January 23 (SeeNews) - The government of Bosnia's Sarajevo Canton said it has unveiled an estimated 130 million euro ($144.1 million) worth of public transport projects to European International Bank (EIB) representatives, eyeing potential financing.
The projects proposed by the canton's transport ministry include tram track construction, trolley bus network reconstruction, renewal of the public transport fleet, the cantonal government said in a press release on Wednesday.
The EIB representatives will remain in Sarajevo until Friday to discuss the stage of preparedness for implementation of those above projects with officials from the canton's transport ministry.
The Sarajevo Canton is one of 10 cantons forming Bosnia's Federation, one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
