SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), April 3 (SeeNews) – Passenger numbers at Bosnia's Sarajevo International Airport fell by 20.6% year-on-year in the first three months of 2020 - to 138,597, the airport operator said.
In March alone, passenger numbers at Sarajevo Airport plummeted by 58.4% on the year and 45.6% on the month - to 28,249, according to figures published on the website of the airport operator.
Aircraft take-offs and landings at Sarajevo Airport decreased to 537 in March, down 47% year-on-year.
Bosnia's government decided on April 1 to close all border crossings at the country's airports until May 1.
Sarajevo International Airport served almost 1.144 million passengers last year, up 9% compared to 2018.
