March 7 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Bosnia's Sarajevo International Airport increased to 118,047 in the first two months of 2023, compared with 106,996 passengers served in the like period a year earlier, data by the airport operator showed on Tuesday.
In February alone, the airport in the Bosnian capital served 56,979 passengers, compared with 50,475 in February 2022, according to figures posted on the website of Sarajevo Airport.
Aircraft take-offs and landings at Sarajevo airport totalled 708 in February, down from 741 in same month of 2022. In the first two months of 2023, airport operations decreased to 1,517 from 1,578 in the January-February period of 2022.
Passenger numbers at the Sarajevo International Airport surged to 1.38 million in 2022, compared with 767,134 passengers served a year earlier.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has three other international airports, located in Banja Luka, Tuzla and Mostar.
