November 4 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Bosnia's Sarajevo International Airport went up 186.9% year-on-year in the first ten months of 2021, reaching 634,945, data by the airport operator showed.
In October alone, Sarajevo Airport served 84,462 passengers, compared with 21,416 in October 2020, according to figures posted on the website of the airport operator.
Aircraft take-offs and landings at Sarajevo Airport totalled 1,108 in October, up from 595 in same month of 2020.
Border crossing at Bosnia's airports was halted from April 1 to May 1 last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Sarajevo airport served just 249,642 passengers last year, sharply down from 1.14 million in 2019.
