SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), June 14 (SeeNews) – The government of Bosnia's Federation said on Thursday it has given its consent to state-owned motorway construction company Autoceste Federacije BiH to start talks with the EBRD for three loans totalling up to 180 million euro ($211.7 million) for the construction of several subsections on Corridor Vc.
The road company is seeking a loan of up to 70 million euro from the EBRD for subsection Poprikuse - Nemila, a 50 million euro loan for the Tarcin - Ivan subsection, and a further 60 million euro for Mostar Jug-Kvanj subsection, the government of the Federation said in a statement following a regular session.
The government has obliged the finance ministry and Autoceste Federacije BiH to form a team to negotiate the loans with the lender.
The final decision on the loans will be made after the negotiations have been concluded.
Autoceste Federacije BiH operates in the Federation, one of the two entities that form Bosnia. The other is the Serb Republic.
Corridor Vc connects the port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary via Bosnia and Herzegovina.
