SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 9 (SeeNews) – Bosnian coal mining and energy company RiTE Gacko [BANJ:RITE-R-A] said it turned to a net loss of 13.6 million marka ($7.9 million/6.9 million euro) in 2019 from a net profit of 1.9 million marka a year earlier.
Operating income decreased by 11.7% to 112.7 million marka in 2019, while operating costs edged up 0.8% to 128.7 million marka, RiTE Gacko said in a filing with the Banja Luka Stock Exchange on Thursday.
RiTE Gacko is located in the southern part of the Serb Republic, one of Bosnia's two entities. The other one is the Federation.
The Gacko power plant is one of the two coal-fired power plants operating in the Serb Republic. The other plant is part of the Ugljevik coal mining and power generation company located in northeastern Bosnia.
RiTE Gacko's shares last traded on the Banja Luka bourse on December 30, 2019, closing flat at 0.038 marka.
