March 10 (SeeNews) - Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS) said on Friday it has become a member of Serbia's power exchange SEEPEX.
The membership took effect on March 7, ERS said in a statement on its website.
SEEPEX became operation in February last year.
It is a joint venture between the Serbian transmission system operator Elektromreza Srbije (EMS) and the European Power Exchange EPEX SPOT. The operations of SEEPEX will rely on the trading system ETS, used by EPEX SPOT for operating its own markets in Central Western Europe.
ERS is the power utility of one of Bosnia's two entities, the Serb Republic. The other is the Federation with its own utilities Elektroprivreda HZHB and Elektroprivreda BiH.
