March 21 (SeeNews) - Bosnian brewer Pivara Tuzla [SAJ:PITZ] plans to invest 4.6 million marka ($2.9 million/2.4 million euro) in improving its production facilities in 2018, the government of the Tuzla Canton said.
In the first two months of 2018, the brewer has already invested 1.2 million marka in a compressor plant for PET bottles and cans and a plant for fine filtration of beer, the cantonal government said in a statement on Tuesday.
Pivara Tuzla employs close to 220 workers and has invested some 15 million marka in its capacities over the past three years.
In September, local company RK Invest increased its shareholding in Pivara Tuzla by 31.57% to 82.6% following a takeover bid.
Tuzla is located in the Federation - one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
