SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 17 (SeeNews) – Bosnian industrial gases producer Messer BH Gas said it has opened a new 6.0 million marka ($3.6 million/3.1 million euro) carbon dioxide plant in the municipality of Petrovo, in the Serb Republic entity.
Messer BH Gas opened its first CO2 plant in Bosnia six years ago but its capacity is now insufficient to meet the needs of the country's market, the company said in a statement on Friday.
The new plant has an output capacity of 2,000 kg CO2 per hour, aimed mainly for the soft drink and food industry.
Sarajevo-based Messer BH Gas is part of Germany's Messer Group.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
