SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 13 (SeeNews) – Bosnian retailer Mercator BH said it has fulfilled all legal conditions for the lease of 63 retail facilities from local company Drvopromet.
The DP Marketi stores that are being leased - located in Sarajevo and other cities in Bosnia, have a combined retail area of over 24,000 square metres, Mercator BH said in a statement.
The strategic tie-up covers the take-over of all employees, stocks and equipment, the statement said.
Mercator BH has so far invested 150 million marka ($101 million/76.7 million euro) in Bosnia, which in itself demonstrates the company's continuing commitment to the development of the country's economy, Stanka Curovic, member of the Mercator Group management in charge of retail business in Southeast Europe, said in the statement.
Mercator BH is a unit of Slovenian retailer Mercator.
