BELGRADE (Serbia), August 24 (SeeNews) – Bosnian state-owned road company JP Ceste FBiH has signed a 23.1 million marka ($13.7 million/11.8 million euro) deal with a consortium of local companies for the construction of a tunnel and two small road sections on the main road linking the country's only coastal town of Neum to the municipality of Stolac, the company said.
The consortium consists of Euro-Asfalt d.o.o. Sarajevo and HP Investing d.o.o. Mostar, JP Ceste FBiH said in a statement on Thursday.
The works are due to begin on September 3, while the completion deadline is 24 months.
The construction works will be financed with the proceeds of loans from the European Investment Bank and the World Bank.
The Neum-Stolac road is considered a route of national importance for promoting trade and national tourism.
