March 30 (SeeNews) - Bosnian civil engineering company Integral Inzenjering submitted the lowest bid in a tender for the construction of a section of a ring road in the northern town of Doboj, local media reported.
Integral Inzenjering proposed to build the road section for 182.7 million marka ($110 million/93 million), news portal Capital.ba reported on Monday.
China's Shandong International filed the second-lowest offer of 185.8 million marka in the tender called by the motorway company of Bosnia's Serb Republic entity, Autoputevi Republike Srpske.
The construction of the section located in the Serb Republic is being financed by a 150 million euro EBRD loan, the news report read.
The Doboj ring road, 14 kilometres in length in total, will consist of two sections - one located in the Serb Republic, and the other in the Federation entity. After the construction of the section in the Serb Republic is completed, the Federation's motorway company, Autoceste Federacije, will take over to lead the construction of the remaining 8.5 kilometres.
Three more candidates submitted bids in the tender: a Chinese consortium comprising China Road & Bridge Corporation and CCCC Second Highway Engineering (204.6 million marka), Turkey's Kalyon Insaat Sanayi (284.1 million marka) and Turkey's Limak Insaat Sanayi (371.5 million marka).
